#1 Astronaut suit
It was invented in 1935 by Spanish military engineer and physicist Emilio Herrera from Granada. It was a suit that had a cooling system, a microphone and a visor to prevent ultraviolet rays. Later, this Spanish invention served to develop suites for NASA astronauts.
#2 The mop and the disposable syringe
Both were created by Manuel Jalón, he is a La Rioja native who studied aeronautical engineering and served as an air force commander.
#3 Gyroplane a.k.a. Autogiro
It was invented by Juan De La Cierva, inventor and aeronautical scientist born in Murcia. Gyroplane is thought to be the predecessor of the modern helicopter.
#4 Epidural anaesthesia
It is usually given to a patient during childbirth. This technique was developed by Fidel Pages, Spanish military surgeon from Huesca.
#5 Development of radio control, wireless remote-control operation concepts and automated calculating devices
All these things were invented by Cantabrian engineer and mathematician, Leonardo Torres. He was also the creator of chess automation and creative designer of the Astra-Torres airship and Whirlpool Aero Car.
#6 Chupa Chups Lollipop
Created by a Catalan businessman Enric Bernat from Barcelona. He came up with the idea of caramel on a stick so children could keep their hands clean while eating caramels.. The company’s logo was designed by famous painter Salvador Dalà who is also from Catalonia.
#7 Table football
Patented by The Galician inventor Alejandro Finisterre in Madrid during the Spanish Civil War in 1937. His version of the game is the one used in modern-day table football.
#8 Modern classical guitar a.k.a. the "Spanish guitar"
It was created by Antonio de Torres Jurado from Almeria. He was"the most important Spanish guitar maker of the 19th century." Most acoustic guitars in use today are derivatives of his designs.
#9 Spanish Submarine Peral
Built by the Spanish engineer and sailor Isaac Peral for the Spanish Navy. It was the first successful full electric battery-powered submarine,

Lightweight articulated train Goicoechea Oriol. Named after the company founders, Alejandro Goicoechea and José Luis Oriol. Talgo train is considered the first “modern train” in history.
#11 Wheelchair
Was created at the start of the 16th century for Spanish king Philip II who suffered from gout.
#12 Molotov cocktail
It was used for the first time in the Spanish Civil War, but later during the Second World War it became known as "Molotov cocktail" named after a Soviet politician by Finns fighting in the Winter War against the Soviet Union.
#13 Modern cigarette
Common people in Seville began rolling tobacco remnants in rice paper when the earliest Spanish expeditions brought tobacco from the Americas.
