Hi there! Today we are gonna talk about one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, the capital of Hungary, Budapest. 

Budapest was formed on November 17, 1873, by the merger of 3 cities: Buda and Óbuda on the west bank of the river Danube and Pest on the east bank. Making it the largest city in Hungary and ninth largest in the European Union. About 1.7 million people live in Budapest

On the Pest side you can see the famous Hungarian Parliament building. It is the third largest parliament building in the world


Danube is the second-longest river in Europe, after the Volga river in Russia. It flows through much of Central and Southeastern Europe, from the Black Forest into the Black Sea.


Buda and pest are Joined together by 8 bridges. The most famous of them is the Chain bridge

Official currency in Hungary is Hungarian forint (HUF)


TRANSPORT


Every major tourist attraction is within walking distance but you can use public transportation (bus, metro and tram)

you can get tickets at vending machines in metro.


Prices (as of 2021):


24 hour pass=> 1650 huf (4,5€) 

Single ticket => 350 huf (0,95 €)

Airport Direct bus service 100E => 900 huf (2,5€) 

(tickets for the airport shuttle bus are in vending machines next to the bus station)
